Crying in Our Spirit, "Abba, Father!"

Let's Pray:

O Lord Jesus, fill our minds and our mouth with Yourself so that we would not talk about anything else, but would only talk about Christ and His glorious Body. May this one thing fill our hearts.

Hymn: 475

Today's Verses and Footnotes: Gal. 3:15-4:7

Key Verse:

Gal. 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father!

Filling the Blanks:

Rom. 8:15 says that we who have received a spirit of ( ) cry in this spirit, "( ) , Father!" whereas Gal. 4:6 says that the Spirit of God's Son is crying in our hearts, "Abba, Father!" This indicates that our ( ) spirit and the Spirit of God are mingled as one, and that our spirit is in our ( ) . This indicates also that the ( ) of God is realized by us through our subjective experience in the depth of our being. In verse 6, Paul appealed to such an ( ) of the Galatian believers for the supporting of his revelation. This appeal was quite convincing and subduing because it contained not only objective doctrines but also subjective, experiential ( ) . (See Gal. 4:6 note 3)
